Here at FBC Albany, we are passionate about making teenagers disciples of Christ.  We know that teenagers are under incredible pressure from our culture to be unfaithful to Christ and his Gospel.  It is our goal as a ministry to share Jesus with students so that they could truly love God and their neighbor. Our youth are the future of the Church and, in fact, are part of the Church even now. Listed below are some ways that our church seeks to raise up the next generation of Christ followers.

Teens for Christ

Teens for Christ is a ministry for youth who are in the 7th through 12th grades where we seek to

share the Gospel with students and train students to become greater disciples of Christ.  We meet during the school year on Wednesday nights from 6:00 P.M.-7:30 P.M. at the church.  During our time we play a game, eat a meal together, and study the Word of God. This year we are going to learn how to share the Gospel and looking at the life of Jesus in the Gospel of Mark. In addition to meeting on Wednesday nights, we also arrange various events for fellowship and service in our community. If you wish to learn more about our youth ministry, contact Associate Pastor Andrew Yocum.

Middle School Bible Study

Our Middle School Bible Study is for students who are in the 7th through 8th grades and led by our Associate Pastor, Andrew Yocum. We spend an hour getting to know each other better, spending time in God’s Word, and eating a delicious snack. Right now we are studying the storyline of the Bible in the Gospel Project. The purpose of our class is to know God’s story and how we fit into that story in our day-to-day lives. We would love to have your middle schooler join us on Sunday mornings at 9:30 A.M.

High School Bible Study

High School students are the future of the Church.  It is our job as Christians to love, instruct, and share the Gospel with these students.  And this is what we seek to do with them every Sunday morning during our High School Bible study group.  We eat a delicious snack every week as we study the over arching story line of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.  Come join us as we learn and take part in God's story.

Grand Oaks Youth Camp

Every summer, our youth have the opportunity to attend St. Joe Baptist Association Youth Camp at Grand Oaks Camp in Chillicothe, Missouri. While there students get the opportunity to hang out with other youth, be challenged by the word of God, participate in great musical worship, and do lots of fun activities including swimming, golfing, and more! Camp is for students who have completed the 7th through 12th grades. Contact Associate Pastor Andrew Yocum for more details.
