YOUTH MINISTRY
Here at FBC Albany, we are passionate about making teenagers disciples of Christ. We know that teenagers are under incredible pressure from our culture to be unfaithful to Christ and his Gospel. It is our goal as a ministry to share Jesus with students so that they could truly love God and their neighbor. Our youth are the future of the Church and, in fact, are part of the Church even now. Listed below are some ways that our church seeks to raise up the next generation of Christ followers.
Teens for Christ
Teens for Christ is a ministry for youth who are in the 7th through 12th grades where we seek to share the Gospel with students and train students to become greater disciples of Christ. We meet during the school year on Wednesday nights from 6:00pm-7:30pm at the church. During our time we play a game, eat a meal together, and study the Word of God. In addition to meeting on Wednesday nights, we also arrange various events for fellowship and service in our community.
High School & Middle School Bible Study
Our High School and Middle School Bible Study is for students who are in the 7th through 12th grades. We spend an hour getting to know each other better, spending time in God’s Word, and eating a delicious snack. We would love to have your child join us on Sunday morning at 9:30am.
Grand Oaks Youth Camp
Every summer, our youth have the opportunity to attend St .Joe Baptist Association Youth Camp at Grand Oaks Camp in Chillicothe, Missouri. While there students get the opportunity to hang out with other youth, be challenged by the word of God, participate in great musical worship, and do lots of fun activities including swimming, golfing, and more! Camp is for students who have completed the 7th through 12th grades.
