Meet Our Staff

Hello! It makes me so happy that you have taken the time to read about me! I have a wonderful wife named Brenda and two children. Our daughter Anna lives in South Carolina and our son Justin lives in Alabama. Both our children have families of their own and have given Brenda and me three grandchildren that we love. I grew up in a small town in northwest Mississippi called Greenwood. Greenwood is in an agricultural area much like Albany except everything is really, really flat and much warmer. I went to college at Mississippi State University where I graduated with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering.   READ MORE....

Andrew Yocum is a lifelong Missourian. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in History from Northwest Missouri State University, he attended Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City where he received his Masters of Divinity in May 2012. He has been happily married to his wife Amy for seven years and they have two daughters, Katie and Rachel. In his free time Andrew enjoys reading history and theology, playing piano and guitar, listening to music, and having fun with his family. He has been on staff as our associate pastor since 2014. And it is his goal that all of the saints would be equipped for the work of ministry and that people in Albany, the United States, and the rest of the world would come to a greater knowledge and relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Kris Putz-Office Manager

I have lived in Gentry County since 1991.  We lived on a farm north of McFall for 15 years and then moved to Albany in 2005.  I have 2 daughters and one beautiful granddaughter. I love to work in my garden and raise vegetables.  I also have many flowers in my yard that are heirloom plants or gifts from others, which brings me joy. "Vegetables are food for the body, but flowers are food for the soul."  I have worked at the McFall Senior Center, Northwest Medical Center, Hy-Vee and Albany School district.  All of my jobs have been service oriented and I look forward to helping serve you.

Cynthia Angle - CUSTODIAN

Cynthia Angle is 52 years young, a mother of 3, and a grandmother of 6 with the 7th on its way.  She was born in California and moved to Albany, MO when she was 7 and has been here ever since. Cynthia has been happily married to Ed Angle. Painting is her hobby-cleaning is her passion. Cleaning the Albany Baptist church is one of the most rewarding and fun job she has ever had.

James Staudenmeier - DEACON CHAIR

I grew up in a military family and lived in ten different states before settling down in Albany. My wife Kenda and I have been married for eighteen years. God has blessed us with seven children, Elizabeth, Britney, Josiah, Jacob, Jaydon, Jedidiah and Jude. In my spare time I enjoy fly fishing, gardening and tinkering. We have lived in Albany since 2013 and I am so thankful that God placed our family here. This community has been both gracious and welcoming. I am especially thankful for the people at First Baptist who have made us part of their family and I know they will do the same for you.

Jeanie Harding - WORSHIP LEADER

Jeanie Harding has enjoyed being a worship leader and choir director for many years. While being a Registered Nurse, wife, mother of three and grandmother of six (and counting), her deep joy is found in leading others into praise and worship of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She loves working with the Praise & Worship Team and choir, and is always amazed how God uses this group for His glory. We were made to worship. Ps. 95:1

Linda Clifton - KFC DIRECTOR

Linda Clifton has been working with the Kids for Christ ministry since its beginning almost 20 years ago and has been the director for the last 4 years. Linda is a native of southern Iowa. She has her BA in Education from Graceland University. She taught school for a while in Iowa, then stayed home for a few years to raise her children and then taught second grade in the Albany R3 School System until she retired in 2007. Linda was married for 42 years to Denny Clifton who passed away in 2013. She has 3 grown and married children and seven wonderful grandchildren that she refers to as the Magnificent Seven. She feels like working with children is where God wants her to be and find that directing KFC is very rewarding. Linda is also the co-director of Vacation Bible School.
