The Young Adults I group is a great fit for anyone in their 20s and 30s. Bible study is led by Kevin Harding and our weekly lessons come from Lifeway’s curriculum, Bible Studies for Life. The first few minutes of class time is spent catching up from the week by sharing praises and prayer requests. We enjoy digging deep into God’s word through lots of class discussion. Our goal each Sunday morning is to apply Biblical truths to our own lives and encourage each other to further search out these truths at home.

This class is for young adults who are seeking practical ways of serving Christ in our community today.   Our class seeks to build relationships with other adults as we discuss how to apply God’s Word to our lives.  Join us to be encouraged and to be equipped to love God and love others today.

Adults of all ages are welcome to grow in the grace of the knowledge of our Savior through the Word of God in the Legacy Group. We explore Scripture verse-by-verse so that we can know God’s will for our lives. This class is all about the sharing of experiences openly and embracing doubts and questions. We are presently in the Book of Isaiah.

The purpose of our group is to study God’s Word, to fellowship together, to encourage one another and above all—praise God. Our class is a diversified group. We share life’s stories, we love, we laugh, we cry, we care, and we witness for Jesus in our daily walk. We study God’s Word and how it relates to our life. We use Lifeway's Adult Bible Studies for Life series. Some recent topics we have studied are: unwavering faith, unfailing wisdom, all-in commitment, ongoing encouragement, trust filled prayer and active witnessing.

We strive to become better disciples. For Christ our Lord, come join us!

Paul tells us that “all Scripture is breathed out by God… (2nd Timothy 3: 16).  And because the entire Bible is God’s word, we seek to study every book that there is in the Bible.  We have a great time together learning more about Scripture and about each other.  We would love for you to come to our group and be part of our family. 

The Heaven Bound Messengers Group is for Senior Adults at First Baptist who meet every Sunday at 9:30 for Bible Study. Lifeway’s “ Senior Adults Bible Studies for Life” is the material used to guide us. Joyce Slayden and Barbara Rainey are co-leaders of the class and there are approximately 15 active members who gather each week. Beginning December 3rd, our study theme will be “Jesus Changes Everything” with scriptures from the Gospels of Luke and Mark all centered around Jesus ministry while here on earth. Come join us, we would love to have you.

The Bible states that the church is to make disciples of all people including those with special needs. The purpose of our Open Bible Group is to disciple adults with special learning needs in our community. Every week we go through the major stories of the Bible to learn how God’s word applies to our lives. It is our goal that as we become more like Christ, others would come to a greater knowledge of Christ. Please come and join us.
